Para muchos fans de Berlín, Panorama Bar es el club por excelencia de la capital alemana, pero no todo el mundo lo tiene tan claro. Hay muchos fans de Watergate, el pequeño local situado a orillas del río Spree, el que tiene ese característico techo luminoso en el piso de arriba, el que en verano se abre al exterior y permite acabar la jornada de clubbing tomando el fresco a la vera del agua. Watergate tiene encanto, y es normal que sea uno de los referentes clave de la escena berlinesa de esta década.

Every year, for one weekend, the TodaysArt Festival transforms the city centre of The Hague into an inspiring stronghold of creativity and audiovisual experiences. This year, over 200 artists will contribute to the festival, where many different art disciplines are represented, such as film, modern dance, visual art, photography and music. The fifth edition of the TodaysArt Festival will take place on the 25th and 26th of September.

The above video is of the installation Beautiful Light from DA Therrien – the installation is over, but it was in Scottsdale, AZ on the 16th and 17th of January. This is a huge installation – 500 kW – and according to the Beautiful Light website, Beautiful Light “explored the purity of white light, the mystery of language, the precision of digital codes and the magic of 4 letters – A, C, G, T – representing the DNA code, and consequently, all known life.”
This thing was 80 feet wide – white light – high voltage. A wonderful statement in the dark desert – I would have loved to see this from far away, several miles in the desert – I imagine the ambient light illuminating the desert night from this piece was stunning.
