Edificio. Hopewell Centre
Ciudad. Hong Kong
When completed in 1980 the Hopewell Centre skyscraper stood at 65 stories making it Hong Kong’s tallest building and the second tallest in Asia. Recently Laservision was engaged by the Hopewell Centre to provide a lighting solution in order to bring the building back to its original glory. Laservision completed a “Turn Key” solution for the Centre which included lighting design, equipment installation and project management.
Laservision’s lighting design aimed to echo the original architectural intent, illuminating the buildings unique architecture in such a way that it is unmistakably the Hopewell Centre.
Corporate advertising and branding for the building have also been utilised through the new lighting design. The design involved illuminating the buildings crown and external ribs with color changing LED (Light Emitting Diode) tube.
The Hopewell Centre has also incorporated airborne special effects with the integration of a Laservision 40 Watt Stella ~ Ray laser system to the building’s roof top. The laser system enables animated beams of light to span the harbour, connecting the audience on the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade.
