Description

“The heartbeat of a city, in the middle of the city” is the metaphor that ACT will use to portray the connection between city and people. Eindhoven is a vibrant city, full of motion, a healthy city with a clear vision of the future, serving the residents, a competitive city. Therefore, the metaphor is translated into the condition of the heart of an athlete before, during and after his great race. The preparation, the nervous waiting at the starting line, the concentration just before the start, the adrenaline rush at the launch, the pumping of the heart during the race, the victory! Then the joy, the sporting heart that moves to a normal rhythm, the calm. All this is translated by placing LED luminaires in a spiral form of the various floors of the building from the ground to the ceiling, monitored by a programmable control. Every quarter there is a three minutes match, which shows the condition of the heart by changes in rhythm and colors of light, enhanced by sounds of competition
